For decades now, Big Pharma has taken advantage of U.S. wealth by charging higher prices for pharmaceuticals to U.S. consumers over foreign consumers when U.S. consumers are funding drug development through government grants. President Donald J. Trump today took a bold step through an executive order to end this situation.

President Trump's White House issued a series of talking points supporting his executive order that are chocked full of statistics like this one: "The United States has less than five percent of the world’s population, yet funds roughly 75% of global pharmaceutical profits."

The President's mechanism for change is instituting a "Most-Favored-Nation” price where drug manufacturers sell their drugs directly to a U.S. consumer at the best price globally or face consequences from the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

This sure looks like a major blow to the globalist Big Pharma model that will benefit everyday Americans who need access to low cost drugs.
